2. Garlic

Take a raw garlic clove. Crush and squeeze it to get the juice out and spread it over the infected area. This remedy works like magic most of the time. 


3. Oil Pulling

This is a very helpful home remedy. All you need is a bit of coconut oil. One can dip the  cotton swab or your fingers in solution and massage it in mouth. Make sure you don’t swallow it. 4. Peppermint Oil

8. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

The most ancient and acclaimed cure when it comes to tooth diseases. Apple Cider Vinegar not only soothes the pain but also whitens the teeth, giving a clean sharp look. Take few cotton balls, dip them in ACV and keep it in your mouth for a while. Make sure not to gulp it. You can also use it with peppermint. Boil some leaves of peppermint and few drops of ACV in water and use it the same way as a natural solution. It will disinfect the area and give a refreshing smell. Use this solution 2-3 times a day to see better results.


9. Antibiotics

When nothing works it is okay to get some prescribed antibiotics from your dentist. Antibiotics are another option to treat tooth infections at home. Amoxicillin is one of the oldest and common antibiotics given. It gives you instant relief from pain and all the restlessness. 

Ibuprofen has proven to decrease the pain as well as swelling in the infected area. Paracetamol, although makes a person dizzy for a while but is an effective pain reliever. One should always keep in mind to stay away from hot fluids and feed on cold food as much as possible.


10. Goldenseal

Also known as Yellow Root. It is a kind of herb which is easily available in powder form too. Massage the goldenseal powder on the affected tooth and rinse. One can also buy some goldenseal tea packs. It will help get rid of the problem.
